The most iconic roofing material is (of course) asphalt shingles, also referred to as composition shingles. Florida Native Roofing Contractor, Inc. has been installing shingle roofs in Brevard and surrounding counties for 15 years, offering some of the most high-quality products and customer service you can find in the area.
There is a vast selection of shingles available to you when looking to re-roof or replace the current roof on the structure of your residential or commercial property.
The majority of asphalt shingles fall into three main categories: 3-tab shingles, architectural shingles, and designer shingles. Asphalt shingles are typically made with a few main key ingredients; however, the exact components may vary depending on the manufacturer. The main components of an asphalt shingle are fiberglass, asphalt, and granules (varying materials, sealant, and release film).
3 -tab - the shingle most associated with roofing. These are available in a wide variety of colors, but the shape remains the same single tab shape. 3-tab shingles are sometimes referred to as a strip shingle, with a simplistic look, they lie flat against the roof decking. They create a fresh look, creating perfectly neat lines on the roof. These types of shingles are aesthetically pleasing while remaining extremely cost-effective.
Architectural - architectural shingles will add a beautiful dimension to your roof, which is why they are often referred to as dimensional shingles. Durability and longevity are phenomenal, as these types of shingles are made with heavier construction, weighing a good deal more than 3-tab shingles without increasing the load on the structure (when professionally installed).
They are thicker than 3-tab shingles because they are made of multiple layers, which provides them with dimensional stability. An overall excellent choice for the coastal homes of our area because of their durability.
Designer - designer shingles can not only tie the look of your Florida home together, but they can transform the aesthetic appeal of your home! They offer beauty, depth, and extreme durability.
These shingles can mimic other roofing materials such as cedar shake or natural slate without excessive maintenance and cost. They cost more than standard 3-tab shingles and architectural shingles. However, the benefits far outweigh the cost. They offer excellent protection against a variety of elements commonly faced here, like hurricanes, high winds, extreme heat, and more.
Roof repairs - storm damage, tree branches, and old age are usually the culprits behind roof damage. If you think your roof needs repair due to missing, warped, and sagging shingles, call us immediately to come out for a roof inspection. Our team consists of well-trained and knowledgeable professionals that will assess the situation and determine exactly what needs to be repaired.
Roof leaks - if you have cracked or damaged shingles, water spots on your walls or ceilings, missing shingles, wet roof, or water spots on the roof decking (seen through the attic) you may have a roof leak.
When it comes to roof leaks, time is of the essence. Ignoring a leak because "it's just a little bit of water," is a terrible idea that leads to costly repairs and can even compromise the structural integrity of your home. Our team of experts can find the source of the leak and get your roof fixed.
Roof replacement - replacing the roof of your home can feel like a daunting task, but it doesn’t have to be! Re-roofs are one of the specialties offered by Florida Native Roofing Contractor, Inc. No matter the roofing material, we have you covered.
Common reasons to get a roof replacement include storm damage, roof age, and improper installation by a previous company.
Florida Native Roofing Contractor, Inc. tears off the existing roof down to the bare sheathing. We then diagnose all lumber and replace any structural damaged wood. We re-nail all sheathing with 8D ring shank nails per the Florida building code. We inspect all existing flashing and replace it if it's needed.
We only use a peel-n-stick underlayment that adheres directly to the sheathing for the best moisture barrier. Peel-n-stick gets a "secondary water barrier" credit on your homeowner's insurance and re-nailing sheathing will also get an insurance credit.
Finally, we will install your roof per manufacturer specs.
New construction roofing - not all roofing companies can handle a new construction roofing job. Florida Native Roofing Contractor, Inc. is a state-certified licensed roofing contractor. If you're building a new home or rebuilding a home for whatever reason, contact us today!

I received a recommendation from a close friend who is a landlord and realtor, to call Mike for help with a minor roof issue.
Although he was undoubtedly busy, he took the time to stop by my home on the same day as my call and fixed the loose vent cap immediately.
He refused any payment and his kindness really made my day! I will definitely call again and recommend him.
